This Winchester manufactured first variation (trigger) guard assembly is for the early model 12 slide action shotgun which does not have the cartridge guide attached to the carrier and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with honest wear. First variation trigger guard assemblies differ from later variations in that it will have an early variation hammer and an early variation action slide lock assembly but the first three variations should each be interchangeable with each other. photo)
